Malakit Onyx is a translucent green onyx defined by layered bands of soft olive, pale green, and gray. Broad, flowing formations move across the surface in organic bands, intersected by lighter crystalline areas and thin mineral lines that add depth and movement. The combination of translucent green tones and dramatic patterning creates a striking visual composition when illuminated.
Most often specified for interior architectural features where its translucency can be fully expressed through backlighting, Malakit Onyx can be incorporated into feature walls, decorative cladding panels, bar fronts, and statement installations in hospitality, retail, and corporate environments, where the illuminated stone becomes a focal element within the interior design.
For illuminated applications, Malakit Onyx can be cut into a thin stone layer and bonded to glass or clear acrylic to create a lightweight panel. This fabrication method reduces the weight compared to traditional slab installations while allowing light to pass through the stone, highlighting its layered green coloration and natural patterning.
